Shipwrecks and Sharks (first love)

They say there’s plenty of fish in the sea
an you’re just the concrete around my feet
and you’re drowning
you’re drowning
you’re drowning me.
Fighting a battle I can never  win
if you refuse to sink, I refuse to swim
and I’m drowning
I’m drowning
I’m drowning deep
anchors away, I’m gasping for air
diving  into your sea of despair
you’re drowning, you’re drowning, you’re drowning me.
there’s plenty of fish in the sea
and you’re just the shark that fed on me
sometimes I wonder why I ever bothered
trying to hold my breath underwater
